Selected Engagements

Three relationships, each shaped around a different room.

Valdese Weavers

Fourteen years at High Point Furniture Market.

Holly Tate catered Valdese Weavers’ High Point Furniture Market parties for 14 years, normally serving 150 to 200 guests. Laura Levinson, Chief Creative Officer, described a team that handled setup, cleanup and service, brought creative menus, served great food and stayed flexible with unconventional requests.

Those requests included lobster fritters with champagne in mini flutes, bite-sized burgers with mini beers, and gourmet nachos with margaritas in mini Patrón bottles.

Wake Forest University

Fifteen years across the university.

For 15 years, Holly Tate catered important events across Wake Forest’s medical, law, graduate business and undergraduate departments. At the May 2026 Wake Forest Law School graduation party, Melinda Batchelor said the food was perfect, Heather was the consummate professional and every detail was handled unobtrusively.

“The servers were off the charts.”

Crossnore Communities for Children

“Home Sweet Home,” May 2026.

For Crossnore Communities for Children’s “Home Sweet Home” campaign celebration, Holly Tate served 200 guests in an outdoor barn setting with bluegrass and an elevated, upscale barbecue menu.

“I can’t thank you enough…”

Katie also praised the brisket, Heather and the team, their professionalism and the delicious food.

Creative Range

The idea begins with the organization and the occasion.

Menus and service can carry a place, a material, a milestone or a sense of play. These documented examples show the range without turning any one idea into a formula.

  1. A CEO retirement dinner with international food stations tied to meaningful places
  2. An Alice in Wonderland dessert table
  3. Prosecco with cotton-candy skewers
  4. A Moroccan and Indian menu tied to fabrics sourced in India
  5. A New Orleans–themed designer party

Service & Operations

Details handled quietly, so the organizer can be present.

The client accounts describe Heather and the service team preparing the setting, carrying service through the event and handling cleanup with professionalism. Their work is designed to support the organizer without pulling attention from the room.

When a venue and event allow, Holly Tate’s mobile culinary operation can bring preparation closer to service. It is one possible operating approach, not a feature of every engagement.
